A pm I got this evening made me think of this. Someone had thought they read that Dean gave money to people to fund their deals.
Part of my reply was this:
...Dean's books and programs are treasures in themselves.
You know the old saying "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". Kind of applies here, too....

Until recently I didn't realize this, so I thought I'd put it in for those who may not know yet. When searching Craigslist for sellers, buyers, investors, private/hard money lenders, lease options, etc. make sure you look under all the "HOUSING" categories.
But don't forget to scroll down and look under "SERVICES" as well ("real estate" subheading). I have made contact with several investors, an awesome mortgage broker, and today left a message for a private money lender as well, all found in this category.
Just thought I'd share that.

About 2 months ago my parents decided to sell off part of their farm. They had a realtor do a BPO on the house with 5 acres, which came back with a value of $90k-$100K (comps came in at $95K) They decided to sell it outright for $80K, which would pay off their mortgage for the whole 80 acres and the 2 houses on the property (they would keep the other house and 75 acres).
Although I didn’t say HALF of what I meant to on the call with Dean Tuesday night (because I was so doggone nervous! ), I realized I could add to it here.
There have been a lot of questions this week about Dean’s Success Academy/Mentorship Program, both in the forums and PMs. Thought I'd post a little about it.
My heart just ached today for several people that have responded to our ad from this week. It took only 2 days to rent out the 3/2 we have ready for rent. I've had several calls from people in desperate situations. I just got off the phone with a woman who's daughter just lost her house due to foreclosure. We talked for like 1/2 hour. I just listened and sympathized. Unfortunately I do not have another house open right now. I asked if she had tried to sell. The mom said "No, because the lender had made it sound like they were going to work with us.
I don't really have any experience with other websites/chat rooms, but I've watched the kids get into these fantasy chat rooms (not bad, just kid stuff) where people create these little characters and make up whatever they want to about themselves. One thing about THIS site and the information in it is that it is reality and real-time. I love that.
It's great to share the REI that we get to do, big or small. So thank you to all that have shared, and NEVER feel like your story is too small to put in here. ALL REI is exciting to a real enthusiast.
