I ordered the book by Dean Graziosi “Be a Real Estate Millionaire” on Saturday, Aug 23, over the phone after watching infomercial. I also ordered a free 14 day trial offer of “Search For Foreclosures" which in my ignorance, have not looked at much.
The original idea was for my wife to read the book, but as she was dawdling, I went ahead and read through it first, highlighting important things as I went.
I opened my account on this web site on 9-27-08.
Today (10-6-08) I received a call inquiring if my wife and I would like to be a part of the Training & Mentoring Program. We said we would, so having been interviewed and making a financial and verbal commitment, we became a part of that. I believe this will be one of the greatest keys to our success. But what Dean says must also be followed, which is "Knowledge plus action equals success." I have complete
confidence that the organization will do it's part, and I am committed to do my part.

I'm so glad you to see you've already started your journal. You and your wife won't regret the decision you've made. Your committment will be honored and I look forward to seeing your success stories! Thank you for being a part of our family.
God bless you both richly,
Psalms 118:23 "This is the LORD's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes."
Welcome to the mentoring program. Get ready for a slam dunk education into the wild and wacky world of REI. The choice you made was the right choice. The education you receive from this program is priceless. Again, welcome to the family...Jan
I think it is interesting that you did just about the same thing we did about buying the book from the infomercial and signing up for the mentoring program. We, too, are pastors and are looking forward to great succss with the program.
Where abouts do you pastor? We are in South Georgia.
This is a great site and so full of knowledge and encouragement.
Blessings,
Jan

Thanks for the reply, it is the first I have read, though I have some
more to open. God bless.
Hi Jan,
Thanks for the reply. I listened to the orientation video on line, and then talked with my RE advisor, Ryan. It was an enjoyable time, and I look forward to
the education I am about to pursue in real estate. God bless.
Hi Jan, "RE Lady"
I pastor near the L.A. airport in a city called Hawthorne.
Non-denominational. Thank you for the encouraging words and
the scripture verse. Not only can we deal in real estate here,
we can minister in be encouragers. God bless.
10-7-08 will be an important date for my REI career for it is the day that I talked with my adviser, Ryan, and was given my schedule of courses for the Training & Mentoring Program that I have joined. I first watch the orientation video, then set things up with Ryan. In just a few minutes (after 9 p.m.) I am going to start my first course "Getting Started." I am also trying to interact on this web site encouraging and being encouraged by others.
It is always great to have another individual join the family. I encourage you to try and read as much of the information on this site as possible. You will gain a wealth of knowledge that you will not get on any other site. God Bless.
Sandra
Hi Sandra,
Thanks for the words of encouragement, and wisdom. Pas. Greg
I just finished my first time through the "Getting Started" course in the Training and Mentoring Program. I say first time through because I want to go through it again so that more of it sinks in.
It is well after midnight (2:51 a.m.) but my wife and I couldn't sleep. Something we ate. So we both started looking at this site. Interesting to read what people write, as well as learn or get some encouragement and motivation. It is also nice to be an encouragement to others as well.
After turning in at 3 a.m I am back on line here at 7:28 a.m. My wife and I talked about goals last night, and need to write those down today. I need to go over the "Getting Started" course one more time today, as well as getting some other things accomplished towards building the foundation of my real estate investment business.
Welcome, again to the DG family. I've enjoyed reading your posts thus far, and the wisdom you've already brought to the site.
I look forward to reading your journal and watching as God blesses you in your REI endeavors!
your DG sister (and sister-in-the-Lord),
Rina
P.S. Get some sleep.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
I will be getting a nap this afternoon, but I enjoyed using the sleeplessness to go online here. I once wrote a song to Jer 29:11. That is a great verse. I am glad that so many that read your comments continue to keep seeing it. God has blessed you for exalting Him in using His words in your comments.
With all the points that you have accumulated, have you received any benefit from that? What is their purpose.
May even greater blessings be yours. Pas. Greg
Glad to hear you'll get a nap.
As far as the points go, I don't think they really mean anything once you get past a certain number. I think, originally, it was to encourage people to post and be active in the forums. Once you reach 500 and have all the badges (indicating your participation in REI), you can qualify to be invited into Dean's Inner Circle (in which there are 6 of us right now). This is one benefit I've really enjoyed! Dean will come in and chat with us personally, and we do have some perks within the site (user-friendly features, that is.) So in that respect, it matters. But as far as how many I've accumulated, that's just because I'm a big mouth and LOOOOVE talking about REI (and doing it, of course!)
(I think Anita and Elena would probably admit the same thing. haha)(I know, I know, speak for myself. lol)
Anyway, the MAIN focus of the site and the forums is to encourage people in their REI and to give helpful advice, and to learn together. I admit I might be a REI fanatic
, and should probably not do so much talking (I'll have to work on that), but I have grown so much in here over the last few months I am forever grateful. Hope you experience the same thing.

Thanks for the info. and your valuable time you take in which to share it. I am about to lay down for that nap now. Have a blessed day.
Finally got my picture up. It is nice to see what the people we write to look like. I will probably put a picture of my wife and I up in the future. She is both my partner in marriage and real estate investing.
Welcome! I'm glad that you have joined this wonderful family. There's alot of Great people on here. Can't wait to read your jounals and see how you climb your way to the TOP! I need to post in my journal (put that on my things to do). Anyway's, I'll See You at the TOP!

Thanks for the welcome. I have already read and enjoyed some of your words to others. Thanks for your input. Pas. Greg
If I could give you extra advise, don't try to digest (oops bad term!!) too much info. I have been with the mentoring program for just about 5 months now and it can get a little overwhelming at times. Know when to take a break and when to jump on the site for some interaction. I can tell you that when you need a coach to talk to, they are there for you. Best wishes on your upcoming success.....Jan
Thanks for the extra advice Jan. Not trying to digest too much can take some pressure off, though diamonds are made under pressure. Thanks.
Just finished Number 25 fr ITS Curriculum. Plan for Success. I also created a personal file to try to keep track of the time I am putting in, a self discipline tool.
I just took an hour & a half to go through "Getting Started" again, taking notes along the way. I am glad I took the time, because now I have a better handle on the material, and more confidence & understanding of what I am expected to be doing.
I have been investing time in my REI Endeavor off an on through the day.
I have been on the computer almost non-stop from 7:20 p.m until now, 11:30 p.m.
One of my concerns is that I spend the right amount of time doing the most important things in this endeavor. Some things are more interesting than others, but not necessarily as needed. All & all I feel I am making progress.
10-9-08 I got up and from 7-8 I reviewed my study notes from my courses, then organized my assignments by writing them down under the headings "Action" "Reading" "Websites" "Ryan's (adviser) 2 wks assignments." Now I need to go to work on these as I can today, with my pastoral duties as well. One thing I must also keep in mine is the priority of not neglecting my wife in all my busyness.
You sound excited, as well you should be. You are inspiring me to go back and review some of the early lessons. We will be looking for great success from you, I'm sure.
Jan
"...and the Israelites dwelled in the land of Goshen...they acquired land... and they prospered..." (Jan's paraphrase)
Hi Jan,
Thanks for the comment about inspiring you. I would think we would all be inspiring one another as we strive towards our goals. Expecting success from me is also a motivational prod for me. We should expect this from one another, and rejoice in all the little victories along the way to the big victories. Thanks and glory be to God.
10-9 Received Total Asset Protection Program case of material, as well as the Small Business Legal Management Library CD. Glanced through this. I will be spending the next few hours reading some of my assigned ITS modules.
10-9 Just spent 7:35 - 9:30 p.m. taking notes on one module of the Training & Mentoring Program "Tax Lien Basics." Boy if you don't like school or taking notes this would be rough. Good things don't usually come easy though.
I just spent nearly 2 hrs (9:35 -11:25 p.m.) interacting with the dg website. It is so interesting learning from reading people's questions, and see others give them answers. At the same time I can cut and past what I need to a personal file to use later. From the wealth of resources on this site, I am creating my own personal resources to go to that are of interest to me.
