I have just finished reading the book which took me about a week to do. It was good reading material and I recommend it to anyone. Besides giving the basics and how-tos of real estate investing it also serves to motivate and encourage the readers to act. So I want to act now! I believe my next step would be to join the Mentoring Program. But does anyone know how much this cost? I don't see it listed anywhere.

hi, from what I got from the lady I talked to,it depends on how much you can afford,or how much councelling you need.so I think basiclly it depend on the individual and their circumstances.

Thanks for the info from all of yall. I bought the program for my husband but he never did anything with it. Now, I believe I may not have a job in Dec, so I was looking into getting involved myself. I believe that this would work I was just working a lot of hours. I could not find the book I received, so I went out yesterday and bought one. I am up to chapter 7 so far. I watched the cd and noticed that there were coaches as well as other products that can help me and others on our way. I am on such a high from the book. I agree the book is great. I want to be ready to go when I finish the book, that is why I was looking for a mentor. Once again thanks for the info. Do you think that I should finish the book then get the mentor or get the mentor now?

Welcome to the DG family, glad you joined us. Well, I say finish the book, there are people who read the book and went right out and did it. If you feel mentoring will get you in the game then do it. Investing in yourself is always the best route for anything you pursue.

The house in the picture is not my current home, although I DO love my current home, it's actually the nicest one I've owned yet. However, the picture is of my future dream home... I'm visioning much bigger and better. I'm glad it inspires you. I believe pictures are something everyone should have up to acheive their dreams and goals. View them daily to remind yourself of what you want and where you want to go. I also keep a copy of my first rei check up!

This advice is really goood. I keep doing so much, trying to do this on my own. And i know that I can do anything thru Christ. Thanks for the inspirations.
Welcome to the DG family, it is great to have you here with us. Like I always say the book is great, second to the Bible. You should also read as much of the info you can on this site,you have a choice of many mentors. I take the opportunity daily to invest in the wealth of info available here. Elena, Jeff beat me to the punch. I have been watching the picture every time I am on site and have been saying how beautiful the house is. It was also my intention to ask, however, since you do use this as inspiration, I believe that is a wonderful idea for self-determination towards ones future goal. It's wonderful people like you that make me want to continue what I do here. Just knowing I can make a difference in someone's life is an amazing accomplishment. When I did my first deal and walked away with $48,500. I looked at that check with tears in my eyes and said if I could teach this to all the single moms and dads out there in the world who are struggling to support their children (like I was) I would find a way to do it. Dean's forum has given me the chance to do just that. I made that promise to myself and I will honor that promise to anyone who is trying to make a better life for their family, because family is the most important reason to pursue rei. I don't think there is anyone on this site who can rave about the mentoring program more than I can, well ok CBR can!! It is what you want it to be. If you think you buy it Monday and you are a gazillionaire on Tuesday, well enough said. Study, participate in this site, ask questions to all of us,find deals and it will happen.....Jan
