I just finished reading Deans book "Be a RE Millionaire" and I wanted to get started right away.
I thought the best way to insure rapid success is to use the coaching program so I called 800-315-7782.
I was interviewed by 3 people to see if I qualify. After passing the interview process, I was offered a price of $6700 for 12 months of coaching. I was also told that if I completed 5 deals within 12 months, the cost would be refunded. I am the type of person that takes time to make a decision, especially when it involves spending this amount of money. Two days later I recieved a call and was quoted a new price of $4800, then $4600. I also received an email with the contract attached. This email was from nmrdirect.com so I went to their website and found they are a company called National Marketing Resources.
Now I have some questions:
Why are the details of the coaching program not listed on Deangraziosi.com, such as price, length of training, etc?
Is there a set price for the coaching or do they base the price on the answers I gave during the interview process?
Why is Dean not mentioned on the nmrdirect.com website?
Why is NMR not mentioned on deangraziosi.com?
What is the relation between National Marketing Resources and Dean Graziosi?
In the posts about coaching on deangraziosi.com, the cost is mentioned as anywhere between $3000 and $5000. Why was the initial quote I received almost $7000?
In the coaching posts, there is some discussion about paying $500 up front and the balance after the first deal. Is this an option?
This ambiguity is concerning to me and I would appreciate some straight answers.
Thanks in advance.
ttappe: when i got started with coaching, the consultant broke down several different options due to the tools they could provide. i got started at $7,800 becouse of the software and other tools i wanted. love the staff and all the help.
My husband and I read the book this summer and were also offered the coaching, we chose not to purchase the option. Instead we began talking to many people about our goals. We started collecting our Dream Team. We found a great Real Estate agent who is also an investor that also flips/ holds properties for the short term and the long term. He agreed to help us newbies find a foreclosure. Well it is now November and we made our first deal! We purchased a single family home that was listed for 170,000 then it foreclosed and we picked it up for 110,000. Awesome. We are currently renting it out until the market gets better and we can sell it!
Find your dream team.
I can't say that i don't need a coach, because i do need it, but i've purchased four homes in the past six months without one. I'm not saying that to deter anyone from getting professional coaching because each of us is different and unique in our own ways. I look at it that if i could use that money on a down payment for a house that i could use on a coach, then, why not make it happen. That was my approach from the begining, and so far it's working. I also look at that having a coach may allow me to rely too much on him/her and not going out there and making it happen.
I've taken the same route that cavara has taken and i've gathered myself with a dream team of professionals. One thing for sure, i still don't have a real estate agent since i fired the one that cost me a great deal, but i have a great real estate attorney that has taken care of all my real estate needs; closing, title search, etc,. I can't speak for everyone, but i guess if had my way, i certainly would like to get a coach, but i've learned as much as i could from all of your through this fourm and from everyone experiences and try to apply them into my real estate investing. Do i need a coach, yes, but do i have to have one to be successful in real estate, no. So, whether you have a coach or not, just go out there and make it happen and i promise you that things will work out. I've taken a risk and so can you. Success can not measure without taking risks.
Last night election was a historical moment and i never thought that a black man will ever become a US president, at least not in my life time, but we have seen that opportunity is out there, and we just have to go out there and make it happen. Barack Obama has done it, and so can you. Having said that, it would not matter to me whether Barack or John was the next president of the United States, but the fact of the matter is, Barack or John is not going to put food on my table or roof over my head. I still have to get up every morning and go to work. This is America, and for me to migrate from a small island in the south pacific and living my dream, is unreal and as Obama say, "Yes we can!" Coach or not, you can do it and go out there and make it happen.
As far as the questions stated above, i'm sorry but i don't have any answers. Maybe some of the people who have taken up coaching could help you with your questions.
Lloyd
I wish I could answer all of your questions about the pricing associated with coaching but i can't. I got involved with coaching exactly 3 years ago. For me coaching was a very big deal. I had no experiance when I got started. I just had a very, very big dream. I can say this-had I not gone through the coaching program I would not be to the level of success I am at today. In three years I have done nearly 40 real estate deals. (Including the one I did yesterday where I made $10,000 in 19 minutes-and yes it is documented in my text messaging on my cell phone) I was able to reach the millionaire status in just three years and retire from my job in three years. I give a lot of credit to the coaching program I went through. You make the best decision for you.
You've got to find your obstacles and call them out! Unsheath the sword, and do battle with whatever it is that holds you back!
NMR (National Marketing Resources) and PMI (Professional Marketing International) are both coaching programs used in Dean's Success Academy. There are a number of threads in the forums about the coaching program (look them up in the search box. You'll enjoy reading), and I haven't read anything negative from anyone who has used them. On the contrary, for Dean to put his name on the program gave me the confidence to join, and I have not been sorry. You will also notice several coaches joining in on this site and helping site members. These are some of the actual coaches you will be talking to if you use the program.
If you're worried about it being legitimate, it is. Very much so. If you're concerned about the cost, you need to decide what's right for you, but I can tell you that it is true about the guarantee (money back with 5 deals in a year). I know a couple people personally who have received theirs already. but even if you did one good deal, you would gain your money plus so much more!
Congratulations to all of you who are making it in REI, with or without coaching! It is so great to hear of ongoing success!

Oh how I enjoy the stories of all the experienced REI on site. It make us feel energized to do what has to be done. At this point, I know that the time to invest is now. I need to take action, however, since I am short on cash having to pay two mortgages, there is a strain. I cannot stop praying for the sale to materialize. Keep me in your prayers. Thanks to my DG family.

We have you in our prayers!
Teresa,
Welcome to the DG family, we're glad you joined us.
As for coaching, if you can afford to do it that's great, it's certainly worth it, if you apply it and take action. But if you can't afford it, then find yourself a mentor or get with a team of people that will get you to where you want to be, that's the key!
Good luck and God bless,
