I haven't seen much information in the way of Green investing. Let me know if I'm wrong in thinking this.
My name is Tee and I've enjoyed my niche as a distributor of Green Building Construction products. Simply put, you can construct a building using insulating concrete forms (styrofoam forms that are filled with concrete)and used to build a residential, commercial or industrial foundation, the exterior walls. We also distribute a great complement to the ICF system that creates a special heated flooring system. Our products resist termites, are safer from severe effects of storm damages such as flying debris resulting from tornadoes and hurricanes.
We're especially interested in working with real estate investors and land and lot owners to market and build with ICFs. Let me hear from you.
Most investors are interested more in the way of housing than land. Land can be risky, it may sit a long time or until there is a specific need for it and it doesn't provide income. I'm not sure if there are alot of builders right now.

Your green idea is great for special niches and can be great in areas where this would be a large selling point. Some markets would be more acceptable of this than others.
