Foreign money buying foreclosures in USA

In the New York Post an article on new foreign investors with DEEP pockets are soon to target single family homes in foreclosure across the USA. Will the American investor soon be in a panic-mode?

I just posted an analysis about the very same article:

Panic mode, not yet... the thing with large funds is they are nimble like us small fries.

These types of transactions take time, and although they may be able to bulk, all at once, transaction, I don't think it will go that way unless the banks are getting a great deal.

The banks know that if they release the bulk in smaller portions over time, they can get a higher return from each transaction as each one will likely create a new support level for that local market, not to mention the eyebrows being raised, it will create a bit of a housing rush amongst those watching closely.

However, when it comes to selling, they cannot merely put 100,000 homes on the market overnight without shooting themselves in the foot. This is where the small fry wins. We can be buying up a property or two here and there, and start unloading each one at a profit as it shows.

Anyways, I'm going to close this topic so we keep new responses in the main one on the homepage.
