I Hope The E.D.G.E. Helped You Realize...

I hope the E.D.G.E. event helped you realize that the students that were speaking are just ordinary, everyday people. We weren't born smart real estate investors. We got good at real estate through desperation and lots of hard work. When I started 3.5 years ago, I didn't know a single thing. But, I had Deans books, I had my coach, and I had a goal and some serious commitment to win. Trust me, I still have some humble days, everyone does. Everything you need to get good at real estate is a skill that can be learned, EVERYTHING!

So if you are sitting on the sidelines thinking that you can't do it, let me tell you that you can do it! It is time to get off the sidelines and get in the game.

Also, I am hearing a little grumbling about me ignoring some of the superstars at the event. Let me tell you guys it wasn't intentional. This event was all about the new people. At every break I was getting bombarded by some of the new people wanting some answers to questions they had. Many times I did not get a chance to use the bathroom, but that is OK, it was worth the sacrifice to be able to help people. Trust me, I would have loved to be able to to chat more with some of the superstars--maybe next time...

You've got to find your obstacles and call them out! Unsheath the sword, and do battle with whatever it is that holds you back!

You just keep doing what you do. We were more than happy to "share" you with everyone else! I don't think any of us DGers would be where we are without the input you have given. And most definitely we want to see you help as many as you can!!!! We'll love you even if all we get is a nod. Eye-wink

Thanks again for ALL that you do. You've been the biggest inspiration on this site (besides Dean!). Hope all the newbies are reading your posts from the archives!

Also, you are so right about us all starting from similar points in our REI. I was just telling Laura it is easy to forget the total fear, frustration, and uncertainty that gripped me at the beginning because it just kind of melts away as you MAKE yourself do it and you get better and better at it. I like looking back to see how far each of us has come. NEVER want to take it for granted!

P.S. I doubt if you'll get a chance to use the bathroom next year either. (Unless you just follow Dean's example. LOL)

"Obstacles can slow you down, but they can only stop you with your permission." Dean Graziosi (BARM pg 101)
