I'm with you! I don't know how much help I can be right off the bat, being very new to REI and DG, but I've got my AZ R.E. Sales license (currently inactive) and a serious desire to learn and succeed! They hold meetings on the second Monday of each month at The Celebrity Theatre, 440 N. 32nd Street, Phoenix. There's a fee to attend for non-members, which can be discounted by pre-registering on their site.

NIck, I sent you a PM, but should probably share a little about me here in this thread as well. I've lived in Central Phoenix since I was 3 years old (37 yrs. now) and have a mediocre real estate background...having worked for a commercial brokerage a number of years ago, as well as recently having obtained my sales license. As I said, I'm not sure what I could offer such a team right off the bat, but hey...you never know! I can definitely offer my time (being that I have much more of it than I'd care to admit, LOL!) and my desire to learn and achieve. I'm just one of those people who wants to be confident I know what I'm doing before endeavoring. I'd much rather learn from mistakes others have made before learning from new ones of my own...ya know?

Welcome to the thread. We definately want to build a solid group that can help all of us. Four of us have already had a formal meeting and we will be expanding on this over time. You can always speak with me, paramount (Craig) or nzamucen (Nick), so just keep yourself involved!

Congratulations on your first little boy... Kids will defnately point you toward your goals a lot quicker!! lol

Hi "Az Edge" group,

I've been reading the posts for AZ... Nick mentioned he couldnt find an investment group and someone posted the link to "AZREIA" It is a great Real Estate Investors club. Alan Langston is the Exc Director, and he's grown this club to; I believe, over 2K + members. They offer tons of networking and educational opportunities, with guest speakers frequently. The club has won several awards over the years including "BEST REI " in the country. (No, I'm not on the payroll ) There is also an off shoot club called "Phoenix Real Estate Club -PREC" It's smaller size although I've not attended this group -but know that both are very good.

I'm in the West Valley and a "Realtor" for the last 5 yrs, although not currently active with any clients.

I think we are all going to have to check this out. I know ultimately we want to have a smaller, DG based, group, but I think AZREI would be a great start to learn.

Hey Robert how's things going. I figured I would send you a message, my days have been slammed and have been meening to call you, but by the time I remember it 10:00pm.

Nick and I have been meeting and checking out properties to team up on, haven't found the right ones yet. I'm patient, I understand the numbers have to make sense to be a good deal. Keep pounding the grind stone, get a little capital built up and we can all get together and make some money.

Awesome! Glad to hear your actively pursuing some stuff. It will happen when it's meant too. Let me know the next time you guys go out and I'll tag along if you don't mind. I just want to start going thru the process of looking at properties, ya know!
