Ready to get started...

Ready to get started...

Alright DG members....I have been silently sitting by the past several months reading of everyones successes. Now, I am really getting the itch to get started. I am very reluctant but think I'm ready to take the risk....I think. Dean says his plan can work anywhere....well, I want to try it out in our small, midwestern, tourist hotspot of a town. Eventually, I would like to invest in resorts, duplex/condo...but realize I probably need to start small. Maybe flipping or assigning a few houses to build up capital....since I'm really hoping (or putting faith in) the "No Money Down" theory will really work here.

Anyway, wish me luck. I look forward to talking to you all for advice and hope to be the next success story for the DG program.

Good luck kchaly

What better time than now. You as well as everyone on this site have the ability to do anything. Like Joe says that burning desire is the driving force to achieving success. Nothing will be supplied on a silver platter, but by: your strong determination; knowledge of real estate (Dean's Books); good support system; and the business strategy you use to acquire your deals. Keep steadfast on what is at hand and go make those deals. God Bless.

Negativity, and no Support

I need some help. I am constantly around negative people. Since I was a little girl this is all I have known. I have also had a passion for real estate at a young age as well. I am more determined now to change my current situation because I have children now. The problem is I don't have anyone around getting excited with me about wanting to change our life, and make things better so this causes me to give up and stay STUCK. I am becoming someone I do not like, I am more angry and frustrated, don't never take vacations, etc. It is effecting my marriage, my husband shoots down everything that I do to help our situation. He is more negative than my family. I NEED HELP and SUPPORT!!! I am keeping secrets from him now, and that bothers me. But since I bought Deans books, I have opened a savings account, and started doing little things that my husband don't know about to help better our situation. Is this wrong? He tell me all the time how everyone on the Internet, and TV just want my money and won't teach me nothing. I have believed that for years until I saw Dean. It was something about his spirit, I believe he is original. You don't get that alot. So, if anyone can help encourage me please do so, because I am trying, but I feel like giving up once again.

'I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me!' (Philippians 4:13, King James Version)

I know how tough it is to have a spouse that does not support you. My wife was the same way for 30 some years. I did the same things doing things behind her back, hinding things, and all that goes with doing something that you think will help both of you. The only advice I would suggest is that you tell him that you are doing the same thing he is by having a job and trying to support you and your children. We are in a world of survival and if he is not going to support you in your attempt to do just that than you need to sit down with him and explain that you do not condemn him for what he is trying to do and that you are asking him for the same respect. The best thing is to keep things out in the open, but if you feel he is dragging you down, do what you think is going to help your situation. Negative people are everywhere it is just harder when it is a spouse or family. The thing is that you cannot let anyone get you down. Go do what you think is right!
