We have been RE Investors for about 12 yrs. Jill wanted to get into it after our son, Joe was born & she left Fed Ex. We bought our 1st 2 fam for 90K cash, re-did kitchens, baths, paint, carpet & did a re-fi(appraised for 150K) Paid ourselves back & put an additional 10K in our pockets & still had a $300/month cash flow. That's when we knew there was something to this... We bought 2 more properties & had $ 3000/month positive cash flow.
I owned a home heating oil co.that was doing very well, but a lot of hours, so I retired in 2000 at 45 & then moved to Fl. in 2001. We have done 57 RE transactions, which include vacant lots, fix & flip houses, lease options, & "spec homes". We love the freedom it has given us, we only work about 3 months
per yr. & used to take 2 month vacations in our bus motorhome all over North America.
We came in 3rd place in Dean's contest & attended the Edge 2009 Event. We have had the privilege of participating in Dean's TV commercials & latest book, Profit-Your Town.
We are "old school" investors, but are looking to partner up with some other
