Owned and operated 3 sucessesful businesses over the last 20+ years. Bought and sold 4 primary residences over that time period. Now it's time to do it for $$$. Starting to build my RE portfolio now that wer'e in a down (buyers) market. I have a "hot" area nearby that is an older town that is seeing a re-surgence. Lot's of new commercial offices, shopping centers etc. and an new, revitalized downtown are making this area "prime" for rental units. The plan is to start to accumulate rental properties at the rate of 3-4 per year over the next 10. Then sell off 1/2 and be a landlord/rent collector to fund my retirement years.
