OfflineAtlanta, South FL and CA are 3 of the hottest RE markets right (not only because of foreclosures). That's why I'm trying to first turn up some deals in these areas.
I handled my parents' RE (abroad) for many years, but I'm totally new to REI in the US. Therefore I looked into several RE courses (Carlton Sheets, Marshall Reddick, Robert Allen, Ted Hansson, Ron LeGrand etc.).... So far there were only 3 courses/boot camps that helped me understand and (theoretically) learn the process of investing: DG and Ron LeGrand being 2 of them.
I now feel ready to get my feet wet, and I definitely KNOW that NOW OR NEVER is the (perfect) time to get into REI!
My short term goal (before 12/08): $10K per month
My long term goal (w/in 3 years): $1,000,000 net worth
