I am a just-turned 39 year old artistic writer type (working on a memoir) who has a flair for Sales and Marketing and a huge passion for Real Estate. In some way, I've been connected to Real Estate my entire life. My dad was a very savvy investor who got into Real Estate when he was young and was very good at it. By the time he was 30 years old, he owned 13 properties on the coast of California was financially free. Super cool. I don't know why I didn't jump into it right away but I pursued other passions and took another road. I did loans for a about a year which was very educational. I ended up learning a ton about the loan aspect of Real Estate.
While I was living in San Diego for a year, I magically ran into Dean on the beach in Encinitas. He was with his daughter and bumping into him was awesome! We talked about the economy and where things were headed and I enthusiastically listened to Dean share his story and experience with Real Estate. I got excited and when I returned to the Bay Area from Southern California, I saw his new infomercial and ordered his new book. Now I'm ready to learn as much as I can from him and everyone involved and I want to start taking action on finding killer properties right away and start making some money. I'm just getting going but I'm already having a great time and know good things are on the horizon ahead.
Cheers!

Just Getting Started!
Hello Fellow Real Estate Investors!
I'm excited and anxious to find me first deal but not sure where to start. I've done a lot of reading and studying but now it's time to TAKE ACTION! Question: Money is very tight right now so I'm trying to put together a strategy that reflects my current finances. Besides putting out fliers, does anyone have any suggestions on how to find my first deal. Should I start by placing an ad on Craigslist? Seem over saturated but I'll try anything. Any other ideas?
