How To Visualize Your Goals and Stay Motivated

By Desiree Grimaldi

Visualize Your Goals and Stay Motivated

Did you feel like your world was completely turned upside down in 2021? If you did, you are not alone. Everyone has felt like that at one time or another because this world is absolutely chaotic, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. It seems to be getting worse.

In fact, Dean Graziosi feels like there’s an economic winter coming.

“We have separations, resignations, uncertainty, cancellations, and shutdowns. At a time like this, our inner game can get fearful,” says Graziosi. “We can’t play small, sit on our hands, and let 2022 be a repeat of 2021.”

If you want 2022 to go differently than 2021, you must take control of your inner game and master it to make 2022 the best year of your life.

Create a Process That Becomes Your Reality

It’s important to master your inner game, tap into your full potential, and thrive in 2022 because your family needs you to do this and so does the world. Don’t let fear, uncertainty, or imposter syndrome stop you. Graziosi suggests starting by creating structures you can follow every day.

“What has allowed me to become successful is mastering new habits, strategies, and success tactics,” says Graziosi. “This makes all the difference in the world, allowing me to see where the world is going.”

It’s not just about setting goals. It’s about creating a process that becomes your reality. Are you ready to break through the uncertainty in this crazy world? Are you ready to go to the next level? Remember, nobody else is going to show up and fix the world for you, so you have to plan out how you’re going to get where you want to be. This takes vision.

“Create your vision,” says Graziosi. “Know what it is, then feels it and live it,” says Graziosi.

Learn the Art of Persuasion

“That phrase, ‘If you build it, they will come is not true,” says Graziosi. A thriving business doesn’t just happen because you decide to start a business. There is a lot more involved in becoming successful, like marketing, selling, and persuading people to take action.

Learning to sell ethically without being cheesy or overloading on the hype takes learning the art of persuasion. Persuasion moves people to take action.

Persuasion generally refers to getting others to take action, but it’s also a tool you can also use on yourself. It’s not always easy to stay motivated and inspired. Finding ways to move forward with enthusiasm and excitement is important.

When you learn to use persuasion on yourself, you’ll move into action when you see an opportunity in front of you. Plus, the art of persuasion works in any area of life, including finances, parenting, relationships, and work.

Replace the Word HOW with WHO

“Those who grow and make it seem effortless have replaced the word how with who,” Graziosi says.

If you want to go faster, make more money, and take your life to the next level, find the ‘who’ you need to help you make it happen. Find someone who has already forged a path in that area and learn from their mistakes instead of trying to forge your own path through trial and error. Don’t try to figure things out on your own.

You can learn from someone else’s success by getting the path straight from them. Do you want to stand out on social media more? Find the ‘who’ who has already done it successfully and don’t try to figure it out yourself. Make the call to someone who is already crushing it on social media and either learn from them or hire them to get to that next level faster.

When you stop asking the question ‘how’, and start training your brain to think about the ‘who’, your life will get a lot less complicated.

Gut Instinct vs. Belief

“Your gut instinct is your subconscious mind and is 80 times more powerful than your conscious mind,” Graziosi explains. “Your subconscious mind is like a computer taking in data. This worked, this didn’t…this is good, this is bad…this person’s shady, this person isn’t…this person loves you, this person pretends to love you. Your subconscious is a database that is filling up from actual events in your life.”

Sometimes you meet somebody and get a gut feeling they aren’t trustworthy. Other times you meet a person and feel like your gut is saying, “Yes this is the right person!” or “This is my opportunity and my time”. Those gut instincts are coming from your subconscious, which is always storing and comparing from your life experience.

But what do you do when your gut says “Yes, this is for me!” and your mind tries to out-talk your gut? Graziosi says follow your gut.

“Here’s what I know,” says Graziosi. “When I followed my gut in life, the majority of the time I’m right,” says Graziosi. Beliefs, on the other hand, are different.

Beliefs are often taught to you by others. For instance, your parents may have tried to start a business, failed, and lost a lot of money. If one day you mention trying to start a business, they may tell you that you will fail and it isn’t possible. They’re basing their response on their belief, not on actual fact.

The truth is, our thoughts have a tendency to lie to us. We worry about things that 90 percent of the time never happen, and we let those limiting beliefs hold us back.

“You start thinking, ‘No, it’s not the right time or ‘I’m not smart enough. I’m not rich enough. I didn’t go to school enough. I don’t have the right family or the right connections. It’s not the right area. It won’t work where I live.’ Blah, blah, blah. That is limiting beliefs haunting you and holding you back,” Graziosi says.

Your head and your thought processes can get you into trouble. If you want to move forward, go with your gut and flip those limiting beliefs. Keep trusting your gut and tell yourself, “I can do it”.

Acknowledge the Pain and Love What You Offer

Life will contain worries and stress, but those emotions need to be confronted in order to learn and grow.

“Acknowledge where the pain is, and lean through the pain,” Graziosi says. When you learn through the pain, you will experience the intensity for a while, but as you adjust and grow, the pain goes away. Don’t let uncertainty and fear stop you from offering your services or products to the world.

“Love what you offer, and make sure it has a positive impact on the world,” says Graziosi. “Successful people find a way to love what they offer.”

“Ethical persuasion is something that you should have…it’s something you need if you want to thrive in life,” says Graziosi. When you are promoting what you offer, use descriptive words, be enthusiastic but not fake, and be motivational and engaging. In short, be the best version of yourself.

To be excited while persuading, you need to wipe away all negative thoughts and limiting beliefs and be extremely positive.

“If you have started a business and you want to take it to the next level—if you want to fix your relationship or get a promotion—think about being the best version of yourself and make sure you love what the end result is supposed to be,” Graziosi says.

Clear Vision

Nothing happens without a crystal clear vision. In order to reach your goals, you must know at all times where you are, where you want to go, why you want that goal, and how you’ll get there. Think about where you want to be a year from now. Will the goals you have set for yourself get you there?

You can’t build enthusiasm until you have a clear vision. Visualize your goals and stay motivated by thinking about the ways your offer can change lives and take you to another level.
